THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
Welcome to the TNAA Executive Board Page
Welcome! This page provides a high-level orientation to the Tuskegee National Alumni Association (TNAA) Executive Board. It is designed to help members, leaders, and interested alumni understand how the Board functions, how leadership is structured, and how officers are elected.

This overview is intentionally introductory. The official policies, procedures, timelines, and role descriptions are contained in the TNAA Operations Manual, which is linked on this page. Readers are encouraged to review the full document for complete and authoritative guidance.
How TNAA Is Organized
TNAA is a national organization made up of several interconnected parts:

-
The National Executive Board
-
Five geographic regions
-
Local alumni clubs
-
Professional alumni associations
-
Eminent Associates and other supporting programs
-
Affiliated partners supporting the University
This structure allows TNAA to operate locally, regionally, and nationally while remaining unified under shared governance and mission.

Executive Board Meetings and Governance Basics
The Executive Board meets regularly to conduct official business. The President convenes the first Executive Board meeting following each Biennial Convention.

Board members are expected to attend meetings, participate actively, and submit required reports. Attendance, quorum, and meeting procedures are governed by TNAA’s Constitution and Bylaws, with additional operational guidance provided in the Operations Manual.
How Executive Board Elections Work (Basic Overview)
TNAA elects national officers through a structured and transparent election process.
01
Eligibility
Candidates for national office must meet specific eligibility requirements, including active membership status, participation in TNAA events, and demonstrated leadership experience.
03
Voting Process
TNAA uses a combination of electronic and mail-in voting methods. Voter eligibility is verified in advance, and voting instructions are provided to members prior to elections.
02
Elections Oversight
An Elections Committee manages and oversees the election process, including candidate qualifications, voting procedures, and certification of results.
04
Results and Installation
Election results are formally announced during the Biennial Convention, and newly elected officers are installed according to TNAA procedures.
